Harold D. Oda

Harold D. Oda, 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 14, 2014 at 7:22 AM at Cypress Pointe Care Center, Englewood, Ohio. He was born July 12, 1936 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late Joseph C. & Dessie M. (Gentner) Oda. He served in the National Guard and worked at Fort Recovery Industries in the Maintenance Department.

He was a Member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he served on church council for 12 years and also St. Paul Lutheran Church; Greenville Eagles.

He is preceded in death by his parents; & his brother: Richard Oda.

He is survived by his children: Joseph Oda of Covington, Ohio, & Danielle M. Oda of Piqua, Ohio; grandchildren: Kyle Oda, Dillon Oda, Presley Oda, & Jacob Sowry; sisters: Mary Rue of Coldwater, Ohio, Dorothy Long of Tampa, Florida.

Services will be held on Friday December 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 131 East Fourth Street, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Peter Menke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday December 18, 2014 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Hospice of Dayton.
