William R. Marlow

William R. Marlow, 85 of Greensburg, IN. passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at Methodist Hospital Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 8, 1928 in Decatur County, IN. the son of Earl and Mabel (Johnson) Marlow. He was a 1946 graduate of Sandusky High School. Right after graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force serving for six years. He was a Serviceman for PSI for 38 years retiring in 1990. He was also a Building Inspector for Decatur County retiring again in 2000. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Sandusky Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, 50 year member of the Masons, Knights of Pythias, and VFW. He married Donna S. (Springmier) Marlow on April 23rd, 1949 in Greensburg. And she survives at the home.
He was survived by one Son: John (JoAnn) Marlow of Greensburg, IN.; one Sister: Sue (Charles) Smith of Memphis, TN.; one Brother: Larry (Coleen) Malcom, four Grandchildren; Angela (Greg) Walterman, Melissa Marlow, Jim (Danielle) Herndon, and Kristy (Matt) Donner; ten great Grandchildren; Emily and Tyler Walterman, Keisha, Parker, and Peyton Cull; Keegan Marlow; Luke and Lily Donner; Abi and Zach Herndon and numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one Son: Gary Marlow, four Sisters: Barbara Baker, Agnes McCullough, Frieda Bray, and Wilma J. Marlow; three Brothers: Francis (Buster), Wayne, and Fred Marlow.
Friends may call at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home on Thursday March 21, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00pm, with a Masonic Service held at 3:45. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday March 22, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Decatur County.
