Toni Lee Miller, 62, of Shelbyville, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Born, January 26, 1961 in Burney, the daughter of James and Barbara (McCuistion) Huber. Toni attended South Decatur High School and graduated in 1979. She married Dennis “Denny” Miller on June 30, 1984. He preceded her in death. A caretaker at heart, she devoted her life to helping people feel good about themselves. She worked as a hair stylist for 39 years in Greensburg.
Toni enjoyed being outside, tending to her flowers beds and gardening. Her favorite place in the world to be was on the beach. But most of all she loved to laugh. The only thing she loved more than laughing was spending time with her family and friends.
Her bright and loving spirit will be carried on by her daughter Alayna Byrd and husband Blake of Franklin, sisters Tammy Shannon and husband Jim of New Albany, Julie Anderson and husband Gary of Shelbyville, brother Mike Huber and wife Joy, of Walford, Iowa, stepson Corey Miller of Westport, step-brother Mark (Brenda) Oliphant, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends she considered family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Denny, her mother, her brother James “Jamie” Huber, and her step-brother Mikie Oliphant.
A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm. Mike Huber and Jim Shannon will be officiating. Private burial will be at the Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in her name to the Cancer Society of Shelbyville, 31 Public Square, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
