She was born on June 9, 1940 in Kentucky. She is the daughter of Roscoe and Lettie (Clements) Summers.
Ada was a 1958 graduate of Julius W. Pinnel High School. On November 15, 1958, she married Cecil Moody Sr. and together they had seven children.
Survivors include: children, Jesse (Lorene) Moody of Greensburg, Rhonda Moody of South Carolina, and Joe (Robin) Moody of Greensburg. Ada is also survived by one brother: Richard Summers and two sisters, Wilma Dickerson and Nancy Wethington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; 16 brothers and sisters; children; Patricia (Paul) Webb, Aaron Moody, Jay Moody Sr., and Cecil Moody Jr; granddaughter Jerica Linville and great-granddaughter Alexis McPherson.
Ada was a devoted mother and an avid cook. She enjoyed time with her family, doing crafts, yard sales and listening to music. She also volunteered at the Red Cross for 25 Years. Ada had a bright and energetic personality and a great sense of humor. She touched many lives with generosity and passion for life.
A Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, October 11 at 11:00am, also at the funeral home. Paul Webb II will be officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Creek Cemetery.
