Woodie for years owned and operated a floor covering company and for the past 15 years was a floor covering consultant with Home Depot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith.
Woodie’s mother Eloise Tew preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Elaine Brown Spell of the home; daughter, Misty Spell of Apex; son, Ronstadt Manuel and wife Ashley of Durham; sisters, Stella Mae Pittman and husband James of Charlottesville, VA, Cathy Moore Hopkins of Greensboro; brothers, Mike Moore and wife Janice, Phillip Moore, Robbie Moore all of Greensboro and five grandchildren, Haleigh Manuel, Ashton Spell, Addi Manuel, Harrison Manuel and Abigail Manuel.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm Thursday at Guilford Memorial Park conducted by the Reverend Robert Hufner. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
