William Edward Thomas

A native of Greensboro, Mr Thomas was the son of Ted V. Thomas and Mary Coble Thomas. He

was a member of Florida Street Church. He retired from a career in the printing industry. As a

young man he raced his street car hemi at Piedmont Dragway to 20 first place wins and was a

lifelong fan of NASCAR.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Matthews Thomas. He is survived by his

daughter, Rhonda Thomas Johnson; son William Bradley Thomas; sister, Rebecca Dawn Thomas;

grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson and Joshua Johnson and great grandchildren Alexa Lewis and

Emery Johnson. He will be missed by family and friends.
