Virginia Joyce (Rose) Jones danced from this life April 2, 2024. Joyce was born on February 28, 1929 and was welcomed by her parents, Floyd and Pearl Rose. She was the feisty and very loved little sister to Lillian Rose Wurst and the big sis to June Rose Long. Joyce was a graduate of Petoskey High School in 1947 and married her first love and high school sweetheart Robert (Bob) C. Jones on June 25, 1948. They enjoyed life traveling together and Joyce was a true partner and brave soldier as an Air Force spouse. They welcomed two daughters, Jacqueline (Jackie) Hile and Tracy L. Eyre. Both are thriving, along with three Grandchildren, Daniel Hile, Erin Ladd and Zachary Hile and eight Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Joyce was an accomplished seamstress, loved ceramics and truly enjoyed square dancing and round dancing. She and Bob made many friends along the way as they traveled in their military and then retirement years, rolling through the mountains, deserts and beaches in their RV throughout North America.
Her husband, parents and sisters predeceased her. Joyce will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery with her life and exquisite dance partner, Lt. Col (Ret.) Robert (Bob) Jones.

…Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance... I hope you dance...
