As his son so sweetly said, “we have accepted that Dad is in a better place. A man who appreciated the outdoors and all of it’s beauty, displayed artistic creativity in all he did and a passion for music that touched the soul. Mom and I encourage you to get outdoors often, use your creative abilities to the fullest and to sing, pick, and dance regardless of how it may sound. We will miss him greatly”.
Following his retirement Thom became a member of the staff of Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home as a part time associate.
Thom was a member of Christ Way Church and in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Christ Way Church 4401 Sumner Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27406 or to Hospice of the Piedmont 1801 Westchester Drive High Point.
A Celebration of Life service for Thom will be held October 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Way Church 4401 Sumner Church Rd., Greensboro, NC 27406 conducted by Pastor Keith Kannenberg. The family will receive friends following the service.
