Teresa Lynn Ingram Ward’s work on earth here is done. She answered the call from her Heavenly Father, Wednesday April 6, 2016 with her husband and daughters by her side. Not only is she worshiping at the feet of Jesus, but she is having a reunion with family and friends that had went on before. She is now reunited with her earthly Dad, that she has missed so much! Her new life is full of singing praises and dancing (she loved to clog). Music, laughter and love will be for eternity. She has completed her mission here on earth, and as she always quoted “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 5:8.
Teresa was born on December 21, 1956 in Greensboro, North Carolina to Charles and Shirley Ingram. She has an older brother, Frank (wife Susan) and a younger sister, Debbie (husband Tony Piper).
She was married to her high school sweetheart, Thomas K. Ward “Bud” for 38 years. Both graduated from Ragsdale High School. Together they have 2 daughters, Cortni Hill, her spouse Jimmy and April Farrar, her spouse Brian. She was especially proud to be Nana to her 5 grandkids: Austin, Davis, Colby and Wyatt Hill, and Chloe Hohn. Her daughter April is expecting a little boy in May and she was eagerly awaiting the day to meet him.
She will be missed so much! We will miss her smile, laughs, encouragement, the love for her family and especially those never ending phone calls. She touched the lives of many. We invite you to join us in celebrating her life.
Life Celebration will take place Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00pm, at Hanes Lineberry Chapel at Sedgefield, 6000 West Gate City Blvd (High Point Rd), Greensboro, NC 27407. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
Memorials in Teresa’s memory may be directed to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
