I met Steve at Allen Jr. High. We spent alot of time together growing up, and were really good friends.I last saw him about 10 years ago. It is a true shame we fell out of touch. Steve was a gentle, old soul. The world 's a worse place without him. I will truly miss him.

 steve and i had many happy times together.his nickname for me was fifi.i loved steve as a friend.i last saw him in february of 2008,and knew he was in poor health,but he was laughing and smiling that beautiful,angelic smile.i know steve is looking over my shoulder as i write this and probably saying,"oh,fifi,you are too much!"i miss him and wish i would have stayed in touch. bridget starkey

I am so sorry for the loss of Steve.  He was such a sweet man.  We became instant friends (I'm sure he had that affect on many) back in the Summer of 1994.  Even though I was 11 years his junior, it didn't matter to Steve.  He could get along with anybody.  Steve had a laugh that was contagious and could brighten your day in just seconds.  I remember going swimming with him down at a local dam.  We were having a great time when suddenly a water moccasin raised its head out of the water right beside where Steve was swimming.  It was the only time in my life I saw somebody walk, or run, on water.  We sat on the bank and laughed for the longest time.  One of the best memories of my life!  Steve will be missed and his life touched so many.  My condolences to his family and friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about Stevies passing. We always had such a good time through the years. My deepest condolences to his family.

Steve was like an uncle to me. He and my dad were real good friends and he was always there. He never missed my birthday and he could always make me smile. I will miss Steve so much and remember all the great times of my childhood when he was there. There will be many prayers for the family. I'm sorry for the loss of a good man.

Gosh I know this was such a blow for your family.  I cant believe it really, he was so young.  Steve had such a big heart.  He was so much fun.  I remember him and Robin at family events.  The last time I saw him was at Donnie Fillers wedding.  We danced and danced at the reception and he was always cracking jokes and laughing.  He always knew how to make you feel at home.  He will be missed.

Steve was a good friend to me since we met when we were both kids. He was always a sweetheart, very kind, thoughtful, and genuine. I have many fond memories of him. Small world that it is, my daughter, Jade, used to date his nephew, Josh. I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep all of Steve's family in my prayers.

Steve was a good friend of mine for many years,we were at Dudley High together.After high school we would watch NASACAR together and we even paint a house or two.
Steve will be truely missed by many.May you find some comfort in knowing that he was a wonderful friend to many of us through the years,his star shall always shine,as did his smile.

I am truly saddened to hear this news. I grew up with Steve and always considered him a dear friend. We lost touch after high school but I think of him when I round the curve in front of Frasier School and pass his house. Thanks for the pictures. Some of them I had never seen (the really young ones) and some of them are exactly as I remember Steve, Hair parted in the middle, rosy cheeks and that mischievous smile. To all the family, I am very sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear about Steve, my "twin cousin."  What a shock!!!  Steve was always a fun soul - we always used to kid about being "twin cousins" as we were both born on June 11 but one yr apart. Most of my memories were as kids as we played during the summers and at Christmas in Blaine (Grandma's house) We played cards, generated dances, played softball,etc.  It was fun going to the movies with all our cousins; could not tell you one movie we saw but we had fun seeing them together. Steve was a big part of all the fun we had together.  Remember all the fun times with Steve as there will be many!!

So sorry about Steve.  Can't really believe it yet.  My "twin cousin" is no longer on this earth.  Did not really know Steve as a man since I have not seen him in over 20 yrs.  However, we sure had fun as kids when you came to Blaine in summers and at Christmas.  We cousins enjoyed acting like we were dates for each other on Christmas Eve when we would drive to see a movie.  One time, Steve would be my date and Cindy and Gloria would pair with Rick and David.  Next time, I might pair with Rick and Gloria with Steve and Dena with Rick.  Pat, do you remember any of this?  There were always more girls than guys but we had so much fun at Christmas and going to the movies together.  Steve was so funny as a teenager.  We celebrated several birthdays together as we both were born on June 11.  I have several pictures of Steve and me blowing candles on a cake at Grandma's. My mom lives across the street from Steve.  He always made time to come sit on the porch or couch with her and talk.  He was such a kind soul.
