Shirley Todd Jamison

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Church with Rev. Bob Voorhees and Rev. Don Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held on Monday from 7pm-9 pm at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel.

Shirley was born in Guilford County to the late Arthur and Helen Burtchaell Todd Jamison. She graduated from Wheaton College with a BS degree in Nursing, She later received her MS degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She worked at Guilford County Health Department in public health.

She was charter member of Westover Church, where she enjoyed working wherever she was needed. She served as a greeter and worked in the library.

Shirley retired from Latin America Mission after thirty-nine years of ministry in Costa Rica and Colombia as a nurse practitioner. After retirement she served in Tank, Pakistan for two years.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Sara Jamison Duhan and husband Lawson; nieces, Becky O’Hare (Rick), Lynne Anderson (Jeff), Lydia Ellisor; nephews, Timothy Duhan (Theresa) and Nathan Duhan (Lori); fifteen grand nieces and nephews; four great grandnephews and one great grandniece.

Her selfless spirit was a blessing to all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Westover Church Missions, 505 Muirs Chapel Road Greensboro, NC 27410 in memory of Shirley Todd Jamison
