Sandy Lorraine Janczak passed away on June 10, 2022 after an arduous battle with heart failure. She was born in Ingolstadt, Germany. Sandy came to the United States on November 22, 1963 and lived in San Diego/El Cajon, California, Naples, Italy, Auburn/Opelika, Alabama, Ceiba, Puerto Rico, Jacksonville Florida and Greensboro, NC. She was a member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
Sandy preceded the death of her mother, Helga Phifer, maiden name “Neuberger”. Surviving family members include her husband, Gregory Janczak, and four children Alexander, Amanda, Jacob and Joshua. Other surviving family members includes her father, Ronnie Gene Phifer, as well as three sisters and six grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2715 Horse Pen Creek Road. Family gathering place will be at Hanes Lineberry Funeral North Elm Chapel, 515 North Elm Street in Greensboro on Tuesday, June 21 from 5-7 p.m.
Sandy’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Stephen Fry, Dr. James Hochrein, her Psychologist Matthew Sixberry, the staff of Presbyterian Counseling Center of Greensboro, Guilford County Emergency Services and Moses Cone emergency staff.
