Sandra Jo Harrison

Sandra Jo Rooks Harrison, 85, died peacefully Friday, August 19, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Alachua, Florida on November 2, 1936 to the late Enoch Murrah Rooks and Ollie Mae Harris Rooks.

Survivors include her sister Lora Rooks Patterson; daughter, Janice Harrison Riedl (Michael); son, Timothy Dane Harrison (Susan); granddaughters, Julia Rose Godfroy (Ryan), Michelle Espada Grainey (Kevin), Kristin Espada Hunt (Tyler); grandsons, Trevor Reed Harrison, Bryce Taylor Harrison (fiancée Paige); great-grandchildren, Samuel Alexander Hunt, Jonah Avery Hunt, and Olivia Josephine Grainey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 59 years, Herbert Samuel Harrison; and brother Thomas Monroe Rooks.

Her love of faith, family, music, and service to others throughout her life defined her.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 209 E Nash St, Southport, NC 28461.
