Ruth Ann Lemons

Ruth Ann Williams Lemons, 83, of Greensboro, passed away on December 9, 2023. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 PM, Sunday, December 17 at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. Her life will be celebrated at a 2PM graveside service on December 18 at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Ruth was born in Guilford County to the late Versa and Louise Bradsher Williams. She was a Christian woman saved at the age of twelve. Her spouse, Fred Lemons, who she met in church and married in 1969, preceded her in death in 1999. She is also preceded in death by her two sons, Gary and Eddie. Most of her adult life was spent caring for children which brought her so much joy. She was a talented painter and enjoyed writing stories.

Surviving Ruth are her two sisters, Nancy Bradley of Summerfield and Katherine Anderson of Greensboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and sons she is preceded in death by four brothers, Billy, Richard, Jack and Charles.
