The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 23 at 3 p.m. Both will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 1900 Vanstory Street, Greensboro, North Carolina.
Bob was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 13, 1960. He moved to Greensboro, NC at the age of 14 and was a graduate of Ragsdale High School. He was employed by the United States Postal Service and recently retired with 32 years of service. He loved sports, especially football where his favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed playing softball and was an assistant coach for many years. Bob loved watching sports live and on TV, going to the beach with his family, listening to music and spending time with all of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Alexander; brothers, Ronnie and Ricky Alexander; sisters, Sheri Kepley and Susan Nunn.
He is survived by his father, Robert (Pap) Alexander and his beloved wife Jennifer Alexander of 20 years. The Lord blessed him with six children: daughters, Jessica “BooBoo” Alexander Arredondo (Tony); Jennifer Alexander (David); Crystal Alexander (Otis); sons, Robert Alexander (Celina); Harrison Ingram and Ryan Alexander. In addition to his surviving children, he leaves behind eight grandchildren; Isaiah 15, Mason 11, Cole 8, Sophia 8, Otie 7, Cayden 7, Jackson 6 and Dylan 4; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was a remarkable man with a very kind, loving and humorous spirit. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
