Ralph Havis, Greensboro’s beloved Beef Burger owner, died peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, July 14, 2021. He was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Havis and wife Alma Havis. He is survived by his Beef Burger family, which includes his employees and the patrons of Beef Burger. In his last days he expressed his deep love for Jesus Christ and how Jesus took good care of him. He also had a deep love for his wife, daughter, flipping burgers, making money, and the NC lottery. Nothing made him happier than to see children playing at Beef Burger, Ralph himself was a kid at heart. He watched many kids grow up and become adults in the Greensboro Community. Greensboro was his home and he loved it. Ralph was also a proud supporter of the Greensboro Police Department. When eating at Beef Burger you could always expect to see Ralph's smiling face and an occasional thumbs up from time to time. Even in his last days, he was moving people down to the next window.
The funeral service, to be attended by close friends and family, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Advantage Funeral & Cremations of Greensboro Chapel, 1900 Vanstory Street. The family is requesting that others wanting to pay their respects to Ralph do so at the visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
