Peggy Crouse Minor

Peggy Juanita Crouse Minor, 91, a former resident of Freeman Mill Road in Greensboro passed away on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the Croatan Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newport, NC. She was born October 5, 1926 in Blacksburg, VA, the daughter of George Washington and Alice Blanche Gibson Crouse.

Peggy worked for many years with her family’s store; Crouse’s Country Store on Freeman Mill Road. She was an active member of Glenwood Friends Meeting and Sunday school until her health began to decline.

She was married to Paul Hilton Minor, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brothers; Reverend Winfred Crouse, Glen, Dalton, Olin and David Crouse.

Peggy is survived by her son, Paul H. Minor, Jr. and wife Michelle of Newport and her granddaughter, Taylor Minor of Newport.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the New Garden Friends Cemetery conducted by Pastor Tim Grant, pastor of Glenwood Friends Meeting.

The family would like to give special thanks to Barbara Cummings for the daughter Peggy never had. The family would also like to give special thanks to all of those that traveled many miles to visit Peggy over the years.
