Pauline "Polly" Cuthbertson Thompson

Pauline “Polly” Cuthbertson Thompson, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 28, 2017. She is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pauline was born January 15, 1930 to Fred and Frances Cuthbertson. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Guilford Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.

Mrs. Thompson’s passion in life was to serve God, sing and play her tambourine in church. She enjoyed long trips to Oak Island with her beloved Bobby, Sr. in years past. Her large family was the joy of her life.

Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert J. Thompson, Sr., son Robert J. Thompson, Jr., son-in-law Wayne Smith, son-in-law Herbert “Bud” Moser, sister-in-law Beverly Cuthbertson.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her brother Fred Cuthbertson, Jr., four daughters, Kay Freeman (Jimmy), Karen Smith, Kathy Jones (Butch), Kimberly Moser (Ralph). Eleven grandchildren, Tonya Jones Tyree, Dawn Hayes (Chris), Shannon Smith (Robyon), Josef Smith, Jennifer Farris (Mitch), Kristopher Jones (Kathy), Bobbi Marie Moore (Josh), Leann McClelland (Brandon), Danielle Thompson, Brittany Sizemore (Joey), and Cortni Culbreth (Chris). Twenty-two great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Also, her sister-in-Christ, a very close and loyal friend since 1955, Jacqueline Roark.

Mother, we are going to miss you. You were loved so much.
