Pauline Gatewood Chodyniecki, 74, of Greensboro NC, passed away at 3:30 AM Sunday, February 14, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She was born January 28, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to Richard and Camille Gatewood who preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Edward Chodyniecki Jr. Also surviving are sisters Susan Murphy and Christine Maxwell of Louisville, KY. Children, Edward Chodyniecki (wife Debbie)Sherri Gavin( husband Zach) and Kevin Chodyniecki (wife Penny) and 3 grandchildren Dylan Chodyniecki, Peyton Chodyniecki, and Tyler Gavin of Greensboro, NC.
Paula was a long-time resident of Greensboro where she lived since leaving her childhood home of Louisville at the age of 23. She graduated from Presentation Academy High School in 1965. She spent many years working in accounting for local firms related to signage manufacturing and medical billing.
Paula was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She loved spending vacations and holidays with her family members and closest friends. She adored and cherished every minute of time spent with her grandchildren. Her smile was like a hug for your soul and the glow she presented while in the presence of those she loved always provided warmth to those of us when we needed it most. She will forever be remembered and beloved by her family and friends.
There will be visitation from 10:30 until 11:30 AM of Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Hanes Lineberry N. Elm Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM , also at the Hanes Lineberry N.Elm Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Park.
