Surviving Nancy are her son, Richie R. Blaisdell and his fiancé Tomie; three grandchildren, Nicholas Blaisdell of Greensboro, Zachary Blaisdell of Greensboro and Zander Blaisdell of Atlanta, Georgia. Siblings are Pat(Jane) Palomo, Johnny and Denise Sowers, Tim Sowers, Julie and Joe Allgeyer. Nancy had 8 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous cousins. She loved the children!
Nancy was very “crafty,” designing floral arrangements and home décor for her friends and family. She liked to paint, visit the mountains, spend time with her grandsons, and loved to shop.
Nancy retired as a manager of the Merita Bread Company Distribution Center in Greensboro. There she met many customers who became lifelong friends.
Nancy was a lifetime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church where her funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. After the committal there will be a reception at the church. The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service, in the church sanctuary from 2:00 until 2:45 pm.
The family would like to thank relatives and friends for their support before and during this time. Special thanks are extended to Nancy’s loyal friend Marolyn Worthy and the nursing staff at Alamance Regional Hospital, especially Savannah, Ashley and Karen, and to WellCare Hospice of the Piedmont.
