I am so very sorry to learn of Matt's passing way to soon.  He was a welcome frequent visitor to my parent's home on Forest Walk Dr. and spent may fun adventurous weekend hours with my brother who was close to his age, over several years. 

 He was always a happy smiling little boy and a joy to be around. No words can express how sad this is and my condolences and prayers to his parent's and siblings.

Matt, I was just thinking about some of the great times that we shared at ECU.  We were next door neighbors at Player's Club Apartments, but also knew each other from the dorms.  You were a good friend and a distinct personality within our group of friends.  Gregarious, to say the least, you were always one of the first to say hello and check up with friends during college life.  Thanks for being a friend!

I am so sorry to hear this news about Matt.  Although I have moved from Raleigh and hadn't crossed paths with him in a while, I remember seeing his smiling face in the hallways at Wake Med as we both worked together as medical device reps. Matt was a friend, confidant, and riding buddy extraordinaire. The joy he got from riding his motorcycle was contagious and I will always remember his sparkling eyes and ear-to-ear grin you just knew he had under his helmet when we'd come to a stop. Matt, Nicole, and Kathleen lived behind my family when I was in middle school and high school.  Matt and my brother Tommy were very close friends; so much so that it seemed like I had two brothers most of the time!  He was such a nice guy, who never minded when I would tag along.  From his FB posts, I know he adored his niece and nephew, and I can't imagine the loss that his family must be feeling right now.  They are in my prayers.
