Randleman-Loving Wife, Caring Mother and Wonderful Grandmother, Margie Banks Earl Gibson, 77, was welcomed into Heaven on July 15, 2015. A service to celebrate her life will be at 2 PM, Sunday, July 19 at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm chapel with Reverend David Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
Margie was the only child of Charles Banks and Hazel Jarrett Earl. She was a devoted employee of Moss -Bow Dog Shows for over forty years. She started as a receptionist and with her talents and knowledge of the industry was quick to advance and at retirement was a Department Manager. Margie and her husband of 54 years raised four sons together and loved to be in one another’s company. When the children were gone and retirement had come they enjoyed traveling and playing board games. James Edward “Tommy” Gibson died in 2009. Margie loved birdwatching, gardening and enjoyed going to the movie theatre as often as possible. Her family reports that she was a talented Southern cook and if one left her table hungry it was their own fault. She was a precious mother-in-law and fun loving grandmother who enjoyed taking her grandchildren on shopping excursions. Her kindness, gentle spirit and quirky sense of humor will be dearly missed. She had a strong faith in God and was a long time, active member of Living Waters Church where she worshipped her Savior with her beautiful voice.
Margie’s memory will be cherished by her sons, Kenneth and wife Iris of Randleman, Bruce of Randleman and Joel and wife Ronda of McLeansville. Her beloved son Brian died in 2011. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Christopher, Joshua, Elizabeth, Andrew, and Jessie; and great grandchildren, Dakota, Caleb, Logan, Haylynn, Alysha Lynn, Matthew, and Liam; and dear aunt, Rachael Stafford of Greensboro.
