Jonathan MacDonald Haley

Jonathan was born January 7, 1947 in Utica, NY, the son of Francis and Henrietta Witzel Haley.

Jonathan was a graduate of the Utica Free Academy, Mohawk Valley Community College and the Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology. He was a licensed Optician for Central NY Optical, Sears and Luxottica companies through the years. "Jonathan or “Uncle Jonnie” was a kind, loving, and above all generous man who would do anything for anyone, especially his family. He had a great sense of humor and he was always laughing and had a smile on his face. He had a love of classic cars, the Beach Boys and the beaches of North Carolina. He was truly one of a kind.

In addition to his parents, Jonathan was preceded in death by his brother, Rodger Haley in 2010.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Michael Haley of Chattanooga, TN and Clayton Haley (Hollie) of Russia, NY; nephews, Rodger Haley II (Christine) of Fairport, NY and Mark Haley of Syracuse, NY; nieces, Leslie Haley of Rochester, NY and Heidi Ledda (Jeffrey) of Prince Frederick, MD; grandson, Nathanial Haley and two cousins, Jackie Bailey and Chris Witzel.
