John Abe Neal passed away November 27, 2011 on the Hospice Unit at the W.G. Heffner Medical Center (Veteran’s Hospital) in Salisbury, NC. He is survived by his wife, Glenda Shaver Neal; daughter, Kiristin Neal Knight; son, Kevin John Neal and granddaughter, Paige Lane Knight. He is also survived by his three sisters; Linda Chandler, Mary Osborne and Mabel Martin.
He worked as a CPA for 33 years at Robertson Neal & Company, LLP until he retired. A day never went by at work where he did not find the time to give an encouraging word to the staff at the firm. His favorite things were working in his garden growing tomatoes and beautiful roses. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing and just the outdoors. He loved to dance especially shagging and clogging. He also loved spending time at the beach with his family especially with his granddaughter Paige. Everyone always welcomed his sense of humor. At Christmas time he loved making his famous fudge. His family and friends will miss him.
