Jerry Lee Jackson

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel at 2:30 pm with Rev. Donna Smith officiating. Family visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 1:30 pm. Entombment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.

Jerry was born in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Robert Lee and Bertie Barker Jackson. He worked for US Postal Service for more than twenty-seven years as a dock clerk. Jerry served four years in the US Navy. He loved racing and sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lawrence Roberson. Jerry is survived by his sister Theresa Maynor (Mandy Rodriguez) of Greensboro; niece Josie Maynor; nephew Dillon Maynor; half-brothers, Benny and Dennis Roberson; half-sisters, Linda Potgieter and Vivian Hartsell; aunt Frankie Ellis and her kids, Skeeter, Whitey and Newman; aunts Linda McGirt and Jeanette Locklear.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hospice and Palliative care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Avenue Greensboro, NC 27405 in memory of Jerry Lee Jackson.
