Janice was born November 11, 1957, in Hartford County, CT to the late Everett and Anne Lumbert. She attended Wheaton and Wellesley College.
Janice was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Liberty, NC, the Ferguson Circle and Bay Area Dressage Society.
Mrs. Pelzel is survived by her husband Carl of the home; daughters, Ashley Pelzel of Norwalk, CT, Jennifer Healy and her husband Michael “Mike” of Weston, CT; brother, Jay Lumbert and his wife Deborah “Deb” of Hingam, MA and her grandchildren, Mason and Grace Healy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Playground Fund, 4400 Alamance Church Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
