The family will gather with friends Saturday August 27, from 1-2 p.m. at Westminster Gardens Colonial Mausoleum, 3601 Whitehurst Road, with inurnment to follow in the cemetery.
Herman was born February 6, 1930, in West Virginia, son of the late Leonard and Eliza Green. He proudly served his country while in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church for 30 years and enjoyed farming, raising his cows, fishing and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Green was preceded in death by his wife, Alta Green and his two sisters. He is survived by his son, Steve Green of Greensboro; daughter, Janet Marus and husband Mark of Summerfield; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
