A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2203 West Market Street, Greensboro with Father Casey Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Gardens Cemetery, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro. There will be a viewing at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service time.
Karen was born in Bronx, NY; daughter of the late Arnold and Marian Davidoff. She grew up in Roosevelt on Long Island NY and has maintained lifelong friendships with several friends. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1965, and moved to South Florida with her parents. Karen’s kind outstanding personality lead her naturally into a career in customer service. She worked for a number of years for American Express at their operations centers in Plantation, FL, and Greensboro, NC, she spent her last working years at Mother Murphy’s Labs.
Karen was always a kind wonderful person and a great friend to many. She will be missed by her family and friends and loved forever.
Karen is survived by her husband of 36 years, Edward J. Sarnocinski of Belews Creek; son, Matthew A. Sarnocinski and wife, Heather of Scottsdale, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Mahlon and Kathy Fegley of Newark DE; niece, Colleen DePaul and her husband, Eric of Elkton, MD and their children, Paige and Sydnie and nephew, Jeffrey Fegley of Columbus,OH.
The family extends their appreciation to Trellis Hospice whose dedication and kindness were a great help and comfort as well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Kernersville Medical Center for their compassion and comfort during Karen’s last days.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Alizhemer’s Association, alz.org.
