Harvey Steven "Steve" Harris

Harvey Steven “Steve” Harris, 62, a resident of Greensboro and former resident of Wilmington passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2022. He was born October 13, 1959 in Greensboro the son of Junius Cullen (J.C.) Harris, Jr. and Peggy Cardwell Harris.

Steve was a graduate of Dudley High School and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNC-W). He worked as a sales representative for various companies and products. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, J. C. Harris, Jr.

Surviving are a daughter, Hanes Harris Mintz and husband Wren of Wilmington; his son, Hunt Harris and wife Christy of Wilmington; his mother, Peggy Cardwell Harris of Greensboro; his brother, Donnie Harris of Greensboro and two grandchildren, Wells Mintz and Tate Harris.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Kelly Groce. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
