Gary Wade Wilson, 75, a resident of High Point passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at the Hospice Home at High Point. He was born May 23, 1947 in Greensboro, the son of the late William Wade and Bessie Mae Ozment Wilson.
Gary graduated from Page High School in 1965. He attended GTCC during his tenture with the Greensboro Police Department and received an AA Degree in Criminal Justice.
Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He was a member of the Greensboro Police Department for 28 years before retiring as sergeant. He worked part-time with H&R Block for 20 years where he was an Enrolled Agent. He worked full time and part-time with Solstas Lab Partners.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Prentzas Wilson; daughters, Kristy Michelle Wilson, Jackie Thompson and husband John; son, William “Bill” Wilson and grandchildren, Shawna Ireland Brawner and Connor Thompson. Gary loved his canine companions, Zoe, Roxy and Casey.
A Celebration of Life service for Gary will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 9, 2022 at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
