A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Hanes Lineberry North Elm Chapel. Burial will be in Wilson, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Wednesday at Hanes Lineberry.
Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Nina Proctor Teel; daughter, Vickie Teel Hester (Charles); nephews, John and Mark Teel; and niece, Medrithe Teel.
He was a veteran of the US Army having served in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters, earning two Bronze Battle Stars. Fletcher was a 1952 graduate of UNC Chapel Hill.
