

Elizabeth Carmen Cintron Jones, or Lisa, to her friends, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 surrounded by family after a long battle with dementia. Lisa was born on November 1st,1939 in Brooklyn N.Y. She is preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Guzman-Arroyo; father, Justo Cintron; sister, Elva Alvarez; brother, Julio Batista; and her loving husband, Bill Jones. Surviving are her sister, Linda Cintron O’Grady of Bradenton, F.L.; daughters, Lisa A. McEntire of Greensboro NC; Donna M. Everhart (Mitchel) of Kernersville; stepsons, David Jones of Greensboro and Danny Jones of Stoneville; and a slew of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as “Ma.”
Lisa moved to Greensboro in 1975 from New Jersey. She worked for Sherwin Williams for 30 years as an administrative assistant. In her free time, you could find her singing, painting, gardening, traveling to the coast, cooking, and dancing- all of which she did exceptionally well. She was a member of the Greensboro Oratorio Society, where she shared one of her many gifts. She gave freely, especially to those she loved, and laughed easily.
The family will receive family and friends at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home on March 15, 2025, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at 515 Elm St., Greensboro, N.C. Come with stories to share as we honor the life of our beloved matriarch.
