Guilford County to Junius William Moore and Hazel Andrews Moore. He grew up in Climax NC.
He graduated High School in 1952, from Pleasant Garden High School.Don meet the love of his life Virginia and they married in July of 1952. They stayed together inlove for 68 years.
Don worked 32 years in the paint and wall covering industry as a sales and sales manager. He
worked as a sales manager for Merchants and Manufacturing Supply and he retired from them
in 1993.Don was a member of the North Carolina National Guard. He entered service 1950 and retired
as a Command Sargent Major in 1985.He also was a member of International Order of the Odd Fellows for 51 years.A large part of his life was using his skills in giving back. He did that with his Church and volunteering with Habitat For Humanity.Don's interests apart from his family were woodworking, and custom picture framing,Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Margie, brothers-in-law Steed,
and his brother George and sister-in-law, Dorlos.He is survived by his wife Virginia, two daughters Sandra, and Linda, his son Richard, his brotherJohn, and sister Violet. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Megan and Stacy along with seven greatgrandchildren.
