David Lincoln Wood, 80, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield, in High Point, He was born on October 4, 1936 in Binghamton, NY, the son of Rex and Marie Witter Wood. He was a graduate of Syracuse University and served in the National Guard of New York. He worked in the transportation industry until his retirement.
David was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda in 2016. He is survived by his children; Nancy Landis (Gary) of Raleigh, NC; sons, Bob (Chris) of Maryland, Jon (Gretchen) of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren; Amber (Shawn), Anna, Tim, Katie, Ryan and Emma.
A private family burial will be held at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro where he will be laid to rest next to his wife. Officiating will be Rev. Judy Copeland.
