David Alan Crater

Born in Greensboro, NC on July 1, 1957 David was the son of Henry Crater and the late Dorothy Cox Crater. He fought a long and courageous battle with cancer and died at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

David graduated from Grimsley High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC with a degree in Business. David was always self-employed and held a real estate broker’s license.

He was a member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5120 Burlington Rd., Greensboro, NC since the age of four and used his many talents for the betterment of the Church particularly in the computer area of financial administration.

His funeral service will be at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The graveside service will be at Crews United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC at 6:00 PM on the same day. There will be a visitation at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

David is survived by his father and one brother, Stephen Crater (Kay), three nieces and nephews, Shea, Windy and Andrew Crater and three great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Haidin and Ashtin Crater.
