Born in 1930 in Davidson County to Graham E. Tysinger and Mildred Loflin he was raised in Greensboro and was a life-long resident of North Carolina. CL attended Jamestown (Ragsdale) High School where he played baseball, was on the wrestling team and drove a bus. He was a left-handed pitcher who opposing teams hated to see on the mound. During high school he met classmate Barbara “Bobbye” Nall. After graduation they were married.
CL joined the Navy and proudly served his Country during the Korean War. After the Navy, CL began a career with Coca Cola Consolidated in Greensboro that lasted 42 years. He was a master mechanic who crafted precision machine parts before the days of C and C machines.
CL and Bobbye raised their two children, Scot and Lisa in Greensboro. The family enjoyed competitive roller skating for many years. They were both very proud when their children graduated from Greensboro College.
CL retired to Kure Beach, NC where he built his dream house and began and finished “most” of many, many projects.
CL is survived by his children Scot Tysinger, Scot’s wife Anne Beach and son Matthew and Lisa Thomas, her husband Rick Thomas and sons Zach and Alex.
CL loved the ocean and his family and pets.
