Cecil O. Pell, 79, of Gibsonville, formerly of Greensboro, passed away March 10, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A military graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. His immediate survivors are his wife of 55 years, Betty of the home; son, Mark Pell and wife, Tina of Burlington; daughter, Lisa King and husband, Bill of Greensboro; grandchildren, Ashley Pell, Jennifer Pell, and Jake King all of Greensboro: many nieces and nephews; and his many special friends. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and worked for 29 years as a truck driver for Overnite Transportation Company. His many hobbies included working on cars, tractors, anything to do in the back yard, and he tried to make life good for everyone. Friends may visit on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro.
