Carolyn Orrell Parrish, 84, a resident of Greensboro, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 at her home. She was born October 16, 1939 in Greensboro, to the late DeRoy Bryant Orrell and Nellie McCracken Orrell.
Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Houston Parrish; her sister, Doris Orrell Hall; and her two brothers, Everett Orrell and Jack Orrell.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Roberta L. “Robin” Parrish of Greensboro and other extended family and friends.
Ms. Parrish will lie in repose at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., in Greensboro, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. for those who may want to come by and pay their respects and sign her memorial book.
A private interment will be held at Guilford Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband.
