Brenda P. Loye, age 65, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, October 24, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Guilford County, NC, born on April 11, 1957. She was a sweet soul, so humble and full of love, caring and kindness, helping everyone she knew, a good listener, so easy to talk to. She will be deeply missed. Her family and friends have many precious memories of this special lady. Every moment with her grandchildren was filled with hugs, humor and constant reminders that she loved them.
Brenda was a dedicated employee of XPO Global Logistics (operations) and worked in the freight forwarding business for 33 plus years. She specialized in international freight and had an extensive knowledge of the shipping industry. Her customers and co-workers were like family to her.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, LaVerne “Pete” Pederson; husband, Ronald Dean Loye; and brother, Martin S. Pederson.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy Pederson of Oak Ridge, NC; three sisters, Sherry Pederson of Tulsa, OK, Sandra McGuire (Steve) of Oak Ridge, and Carol Pegram (John) of Greensboro; sister-in-law, Lynn Pederson of Whitsett; and four children, Rebecca Tapp (Carl) of Greensboro, Amanda L. Wooten of Reidsville, Chris Loye (Michele) of Greensboro, and Katie Loye (Michael) of Colfax.
Also left to cherish the memories of their “Nannie” are ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, as well as a niece and two nephews: Brittany Sutton (TJ), Olivia Tapp, Austin Wooten (Tori), Sierra McGee, Chloe Wooten, Noah Wooten, Harper Loye, Lanny Pitts, Sawyer Pitts, Gavin Pitts, Mackenzie Forbes, Serenity Forbes, Sophia Wooten, River Wooten, Waylon Wooten, Maddie McGee, Addie McGee, Bella McGee, Stokeli Lane, Bryson Crusoe, Christine McGuire, Sam Pegram, and Jacob Pegram.
No immediate service is planned. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Brenda’s church, St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2905 N. O’Henry Boulevard, Greensboro, NC.
