Betty Norman Yarborough

Betty was born on July 29, 1931 in Forsyth County, NC, the daughter of Claude E. and Mallie Dockery Norman. She was an active member of Hinshaw United Methodist Church for over 47 years. She was a member of the Asbury Sunday School Class and the Women’s Circle. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She loved spending time with her family and her family and was also a loving, caring and giving friend. More than anything, she adored her 3 granddaughters.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, K.O. Wilson in 1955 and then William G. Yarborough in 2009 and brother, Ervin Norman. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons; Randy Wilson and wife Ann of Winston Salem, NC and Tony Yarborough and wife Mary of New York, NY; grandchildren, Leslie Miller and husband Shane, Lindsey Paul and Lily Margaret Graves Yarborough.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 4:00 p.m. at Hinshaw United Methodist Church, 4501 High Point Road, Greensboro, NC 27407. Burial will follow in the Reed’s Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexington, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.
