Betty Lou “BOO” Pell, 81, died unexpectedly but peacefully with family by her side on July 13, 2016. A graveside service will be held on Monday, 2:00 p.m. at Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.
Betty was born on April 1, 1935 in Guilford County. She worked for Greensboro Manufacturing and was owner of Betty’s Day Care for over 40 years. She loved to collect owls and salt and pepper shakers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roby F. and Espia W. Woods; her husband of 55 years, Cecil O. Pell and brother Ace Woods. She is survived by two children, Mark Pell and Lisa King(Bill); three grandchildren, Ashley Hagood, Jennifer Pell, and Jake King; brother, Roby F. Woods Jr; sisters, Brenda Ervin, Cynthia Lackey, Teresa Springs (Gary), Donna Samsel (Joey) and Wanda McGee (Mark) and numerous nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
