Barbara D. Leadbetter

A graveside service will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rev. Tom Gibson.

Barbara was born June 21, 1945 in Reidsville, the daughter of Robert and Dottie Comer Walker.

Barbara was a graduate of Reidsville High School and went on to graduate from High Point College. She taught English at Donna High School in Donna, TX and later at Southeast Middle School and Southeast High School. Barbara was the church organist at First Baptist Church in Donna, TX as well as Lawndale Baptist Church and Guilford College United Methodist Church. Barbara loved taking cruises, 34 to be exact, playing piano, singing, reading, crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her granddaughter. She will be remembered for her funny, sarcastic, firecracker personality. She will be missed.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Walker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Wayne Leadbetter; daughters, Natalie Chapman (Jason) of Greensboro and Nicole Leadbetter of Asheville; brother in law, Tommy Leadbetter (Suzanne) of Fairfield, TX, and her granddaughter, Delaney Harrington.

Friends will be received Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.
