Annie Louise Nelson

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, September 24, 2015, at Westminster Gardens Cemetery followed by a celebration of Annie’s life at 2:00 p.m., at Congregational United Church of Christ, 400 West Radiance Drive, Greensboro, NC.

Other than living the last 8 years in Alpharetta, GA with her daughter and granddaughter, Annie was a life-long resident of Greensboro. She was an active member in her church and the community and was a dedicated wife and mother. She was married to and celebrated life with Robert Saunders Nelson for 57 years. To those who knew her, she was a loving and giving person.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband; son, Henry Lee Nelson and her brother, Buster Boyles. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Nelson Goff, Terry Nelson Burks; daughter-in-law, Gayle Nelson; grandchildren, Amy Burks Dear, Daniel Lee Goff, Kelli Burks; great grandchildren, Emma and Harper Dear; sisters, Francis McCurry, Jane Clemmons and brother, Jimmy Boyles. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
