Anna Franklin Pace

Anna was born on February 26, 1923 in Chester County, South Carolina and grew up in Ridgeway, S.C. She was a charter member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, along with her late husband, and was an active member and president of the PTA when her two children were growing up. Anna was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and wife.

She worked in the District Attorney’s office and then for Locke Clifford before retiring.

She is survived by her son, Howard C. Pace, Jr. and wife, Debbie; daughter, Lynn Pace Beard; granddaughters, Erin Pace, Anna Beard and Megan Beard. Mrs. Pace is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard C. Pace, Sr., to whom she was married for 67 years, her parents, Benjamin Hallowell Franklin, Margaret Pearcy Franklin, siblings, Sarah Wylie, Ben Franklin, Jr., Charles Franklin, Evelyn Long, Stuart Franklin and William Franklin.

A memorial service will be held On Friday at 2:00 PM at Hanes Lineberry, 515 N. Elm St, Greensboro NC 27401, officiated by the Rev. Frank Dew. A private inurnment will follow attended by the family at the gravesite.
