Born on November 11, 1935 in Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Alben and Ola Paschal. Ann was very creative and artistic and enjoyed numerous crafting passions. Her latest being painting but she enjoyed quilting, ceramics, arranging flowers, gardening and yard work. In her younger years, while raising her family, she enjoyed cooking. Her biscuits and Thanksgiving dressing were the best. Because of her creative nature, she enjoyed decorating for the holidays. Her home was always so beautiful. Ann also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Shining Light Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her precious daughter, Marie Kimberly Smith; brother, Merylin Paschal; and sisters, Aileen Parker and Linda Smithey.
Ann is survived by her two sons, Allen Smith and wife Frances and Randy Smith; two daughters, Gwen Long and Mitzi Green; grandchildren, Joey Smith and wife Hannah, Robert Smith and wife Elaine, Claire Long, Miranda Long, MacKenzi Green and Hayden Green; three great grandchildren, Noah, Harper and Oliver Smith; brothers, Jerry Paschal and wife Donna, Jimmy Paschal and Roger Paschal and wife Shelby; sisters, Kathrine Miles and husband Sam and Maye Ware and husband Cary; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will begin receiving friends at 10 am on Thursday prior to the service.
