Ann was born in Guilford County, the daughter of William and Marjorie Needham. Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, preparing holiday meals for family and traveling with her childhood friend Rachel Harris. One of her favorite destinations was the beach.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Costner and sister Billie Lynn Mingia.
She is survived by son Leslie Murray, daughter Margie McDuffie, grandchildren Christina Murray, Tyler Anne Hancock (Christian), great grandchildren Dawson, Avery, Daniel Hancock and special nephew Brian Mingia and niece Kristen Davis and her faithful companion Allie Ann.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday June 6, 2023 1:00pm at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC.
