Allen Cameron Long

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ira Godwin officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mr. Long was born in Nash County to the late Ruben Long and Daisy House. He worked as a mechanic at Pegram West for many years. He was an amateur radio operator; he loved fishing, boating and working with tools.

He is survived by his wife of more than fifty-three years, Peggy Helms Long; children, Gwen Browning (Tim) of Danville, VA, Carol Schub (Steve) of McLeansville, NC and Jerry Long of Rocky Mount, NC; two grandchildren, Jaime Hunter and Cam Schub; six great grandchildren: Kevin, Cassidy, Chloe, Kendall, Zoe and Camryn; three brothers and two sisters.
