Aimee Robichaud: born November 13th, 1981 and passed away August 6th, 2017. She is survived by her parents: Michael and Debbie Robichaud; sister: Denise Robichaud; daughter: Genevieve (Evie) St. Ange; grandparents: Diane Robichaud, Pat and James Stacy; great grandmother: Mary Rajaneimi; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Aimee was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was immediately considered a water-baby. If she wasn't enjoying the beach with family, she was hard at work in the pool. She joined her first swim team at age 5 and set the stage for a long, devoted, and successful career as a competitive swimmer from youth to college. Through many hours on the pool deck, she developed a comradery with her teammates that felt like family; she was at home with speedo lines and chlorine for perfume. She consistently placed in meets year after year, and always strived to achieve new goals she made for herself. Aimee's other love was the arts - there wasn't a musical or classic film she couldn't quote word-for-word or sing every line to; she had a passion for film, theater, and music. And don't even get her started on Michael Buble!!!
Aimee has always been very close with her family. She was raised knowing that family is a priority and she clung to and nurtured those relationships that meant the most to her. She grew up in South Florida, moved with her family to Jamestown, NC halfway through her high school career to attend Southwest Guilford High School, then began her college years getting back to her love of the beach while attending University of Wilmington. She moved back with her family and continued her education at Greensboro Technical Community College in their culinary program where she put all of her focus in cooking. She would devote herself to the details until she reached perfection and used this as training to guide her career in the food industry. Her most recent job at US Foods was an apex of all things she excelled with, although she may not have realized it at first. Her vast knowledge of the industry, paired with her friendly personality, and her need to take care of people helped her seamlessly transition into her role as Territory Manager. She loved her job and the people that she worked with, and especially loved helping clients make the right choices for their restaurants.
Her biggest achievement and deepest love is her daughter, Evie. With only four and a half short years, Aimee proved to be THE BEST mommy. The bond that she and Evie share is undeniable and will remain unchanging. In her becoming Evie's mommy, a bright light grew inside of her and Aimee taught her family and friends surrounding her about deeper love, appreciation of the little moments, and the importance and benefit of patience.
Throughout her life, Aimee was the epitome of an introverted leader. The quiet calm that lead by example and a proficient teacher when inevitably asked for help. She was funny, quick-witted, and sarcastic. She kept her emotions close to her chest but you could read her like a book by simply paying attention to her facial expressions. She loved fiercely and loyally. She was protective and thoughtful. A family girl through-and-through. She is already and will continue to be missed more than she could ever fathom.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, 3:00 pm at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
