She worked at Emery’s for many years before going to work at Meco where she retired. After retirement, she worked at Nolachuckey School in the Cafeteria.
She loved her farm, cows and cats; loved to produce a big garden which she shared with neighbors and friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.
Suella was a member of St. James Lutheran Church but had been attending Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church for the last little while.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Garry Gregg; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Milton Parham; sisters-in-law, Nancy Renner and Sandy Renner; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends as well as a special friend and beautician, Tammy Hensley.
Suella was the daughter of the late Haskell and Sibyl Renner and was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Bowers; brothers and sisters-in-law, James Lee and Elsie Renner and Harvey and Jean Renner; brothers, Glenn Renner and Kenny Renner; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Aldon Myers; and brother-in-law, Herbie Waddell.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Larry Moore and Rev. Harrell and Marci Cobb officiating.
Interment will be on Wednesday at 11 am in St. James Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 am Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers are Larry Waddell, Mike and Russell Renner, Shane and Chris Renner, Gary Bowers, Dale Gregg and Ethan Bowers.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the 3rd floor nursing staff and Cindy for their kindness and extra special care given to her and her family during Suella’s stay.
