She was a former district bakery supervisor for Food City.
She was a member of United Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and was involved in various church activities.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years: Steve Darnell; one son: Damon Darnell; a step-daughter and husband: Jamie and Chris Hicks of Greeneville; three step-grandchildren: Rylee, Tyler, and Cooper Hicks; mother, Rena Shultz, father: Kay Swift, Jr., a brother, Ricky Swift, all of Greeneville; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Becky and Dr. Byron Chambers of Morristown, JoAnn Starnes of Greeneville, and Doris Darnell of Mosheim; a special niece and her husband: Beverly and Ricky Waddell of Greeneville; two nephews and spouse: Brandon Swift and Travis and Casey Swift; and her special friends: Sandy Stewart of Mosheim, Janet Hansel of Greene County, and Angie Douglass of Johnson City.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Elmer and Juanita Davis and Kay and Magline Swift; and an infant son.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Chris Murray and Pastor Nick Bailey officiating.
Entombment will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday in GreeneLawn Mausoleum, conducted by Rev. David Fox and Rev. Danny Ellis.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Swift, Travis Swift, Roger Cutshall, Bland Justice, Wendall Johnson, Jerry Norton, Tim Mitchell, Rex Davis, and Bobby Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of United Baptist Church and Dr. Dharman Patel and staff.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
